Mitchell Community College to present free seminars at Technology & Workforce Development Center in Statesville

The Mitchell Community College Small Business Center will present three free seminars next week at the Technology & Workforce Development Center at 701 W. Front Street in Statesville.

These sessions are free but pre-registration is required.

♦ “Secure Act 2.0: Your Business’s Blueprint for Success” is scheduled for Monday, September 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The SECURE 2.0 Act is more than just a retirement law; it’s a strategic tool for businesses to thrive. By offering competitive benefits, you can attract top talent, boost employee morale, and mitigate business risk. This session will explore how to leverage Secure 2.0 to achieve these goals and position your business for long-term success.

♦ “The 30-Day Online Marketing Makeover for Your Business” is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

There are so many places online for potential customers to find you: Google, your website, social media, and more. Make sure they can find your business and that they like what they see. Commercial photographer and marketing expert Bob Mackowski will walk you through this high-level overview of the online marketing landscape. This class will touch on websites, visual marketing, Google Business, email marketing, and so much more.

♦ “Hands-On Video Marketing for Your Business” is scheduled for Wednesday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Let’s put fingers to phones and make some videos! In this intermediate-level, hands-on class, you’ll start by learning why creating videos for marketing is so important and strategies to tell your stories through video. Once you’ve learned that, it’s time to get hands-on and create. We’ll create an About video designed for your website that you can immediately put into your marketing.
