Special to IFN

The Mooresville Graded School District is proud to offer a robust and diverse range of elective classes and co-curricular activities that empower students to explore their passions, develop new skills, and build lifelong friendships. From award-winning arts programs to competitive sports teams, MGSD provides opportunities for every student to shine.

On November 14, one such opportunity was on full display when the Mooresville High School NJROTC completed its 30th annual Pass in Review.

The cadets, under the guidance of their Naval Science instructors, Captain Charlie Gibson, USN (ret) and GM1 Patrick Sibley, USNR, displayed exceptional performance and preparation.

Lt. Col. Claude Clark, USMC (Ret.), NJROTC Area 6 Manager and Inspecting/Reviewing Officer, expressed strong admiration for the ceremony and the cadets’ efforts. For the past 21 consecutive years, the MHS NJROTC has earned the prestigious Distinguished Unit Award, ranking in the top 25 percent of all units in Area Six.

As they begin another promising year, the unit continues to excel in a variety of competitions, including marksmanship, academics, athletics, color guard, drone and drill events, while also contributing to school and community service initiatives. This enriching experience fosters creativity, leadership, teamwork, and a strong sense of community, preparing students to excel both inside and outside the classroom.
