The Mooresville Police Department on Friday announced the arrest of a Mooresville man on sexual exploitation of a minor charges.

During the course of an investigation into child sexual exploitation materials, the Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant on Thursday.

As a result of the evidence seized and information obtained during an interview with the suspect, Eric Scott Threadgill, 59, of Renville Place, Mooresville, was charged with four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Threadgill was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. A magistrate set his bond at $80,000. He remained in custody Friday afternoon.
