Special to Iredell Free News
The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center is thrilled to present N-Spire Band from Statesville as the headliner for this year’s Juneteenth Celebration on June 15.
This free concert will be rain or shine and will take place at 7 p.m. at the Alexander County Courthouse Park, located at 101 W. Main Avenue in Taylorsville.
Led by Alexander County native Fredrick Morrison, N-Spire has transformed from an all-male gospel group, to an all male jazz group, to a multi-genre group with a female lead vocalist. Morrison’s experience traveling and working with famous musicians all over America, inspired him to continue the music.
N-Spire features Morrison (lead bassist, lead & background singer), Brandon Carr (drums), Nickey Mott (lead & background vocalist), India McWhorter (saxophone, lead, & background vocalist), Duane Smith (pianist, lead & background vocalist, Mitchell Huntley (guitar) and Keenen Gillespie (keyboards).
N-spire’s high-energy performances includes R&B, jazz, funk, pop, old school, go-go, and more.
