The N.C. State Highway seized several vehicles and filed charges against five adults and one juvenile after responding to reports of careless and reckless driving near Mooresville on Monday.
When troopers responded to the 400 block of Barfield Road about 5:10 p.m., they found Barfield Road completely blocked due to an illegal street takeover, according to an NCSHP news release.
As a result of the investigation, six trucks were seized and turned over to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
The following adults were charged with careless and reckless driving, street takeover, and injury to real property:
♦ Eli Chance Pharr, 18, of Stony Point;
♦ Gage Myquea Angel Jr., 20, of Cleveland;
♦ Isaiah Antonio Villegas, 27, of Statesville;
♦ Nicholas James Lufkin, 20, of Mooresville; and
♦ Nathaniel Madison Harris, 27, of Statesville.
One juvenile was also charged.
The N.C. State Highway Patrol expressed its appreciation to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.
