Personnel from the Troutman, Wayside and Shepherds fire departments responded to a structure fire on Emma Mae Drive about 6:37 p.m. on Tuesday.

Arriving units encountered heavy fire coming from an attached two-car garage and a working fire was declared. Fire fighters worked quickly to stop the fire from spreading to the first and second floors of the home.

South Iredell Fire Department responded with their air van, and Iredell County EMS personnel stood by at the scene.

The fire was under control at 7:07 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
