Downtown Mooresville transformed into a picturesque holiday celebration on Friday, December 13, as close to 12,000 people gathered for the annual A Classic Christmas in Mooresville event. Attendees experienced an unforgettable evening filled with fun, festive cheer, live entertainment, and snow.

Downtown Mooresville was showered with fluffy, white flakes that came down throughout the evening. Main Street featured over 30 craft vendors offering handmade gifts, ornaments, and seasonal décor. Downtown merchants stayed open late for the crowds as they finished their holiday shopping. Beautiful garland strung from one side of the street to the other creating a charming holiday atmosphere. The performance stage on Main Street showcased local Mooresville talent, where singers and dancers provided holiday entertainment throughout the evening.

John Franklin Moore Park was transformed into “Polar Park,” featuring street performers including a giant polar bear, snowflake dancers, a gingerbread man, and nutcracker stilt walkers. The centerpiece of Polar Park was a beautifully decorated Christmas tree donated by Josh’s Farmers Market.

Liberty Park was the site of Winter Wonderland that featured ice skating presented by Niagara Bottling and a towering 30-foot Snowzilla slide. Attractions also included a carousel, train rides, a life-size snow globe and local vendors.

The Charles Mack Citizen Center was home to Christmas Corner where the halls were filled with beautiful live music by the Lake Norman Philharmonic. Children also had the chance to take photos with Santa. Parks and Recreation staff also provided tables full of holiday crafts.

The event was made possible through the support of local sponsors, volunteers, and town staff, whose efforts created a truly memorable experience for all who attended.
