Grammy Award nominee Jontavious Willis performed for American Renaissance School students on Friday. A native of Georgia, the blues artist was in town for a concert at the Iredell Arts Council.
Willis’ appearances were part of Piedmont Folkways traditional music youth awareness initiative. Piedmont Folkways was formed in 2017 to share an interesting story and to increase public awareness and access to regional traditional music, folk tales, stories, and historical events.
