Northview Church of Christ held its annual Stars Carnival on Saturday.

The church’s Stars Ministry decorated the church with colorful circus-themed props to welcome children and adults with special needs.

Food, games with prizes, a magician, and animals brought smiles to participants of all ages.

Will Gandy, who has autism, attended the carnival for the second year in a row with his grandma.

“It’s a lot of fun to come here and get to talk to everybody and have fun,” he said.

Local nonprofits, including Rescue Ranch, Canary Farms, and personnel from Troutman Fire-Rescue and the Statesville Police Department were all on hand to greet the special guests.
