Troutman Fire Rescue personnel conducted a “burn down” of a home of Murdock Road on Friday with cooperation from the town and the homeowner, who donated the structure for training. Troutman crews successfully burned the home without incident. 

The home was heavily damaged by fire on August 23, 2023. The fire was deemed suspicious, and a dog died in the fire. A man was charged with arson and animal cruelty by the Troutman Police Department.
