Rep. Patrick McHenry has announced submission deadlines for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. Since the competition began in 1982, over 650,000 high school students have participated in this nationwide event showcasing the incredible talent of our nation’s young artists.

“I always look forward to the Congressional Art Competition and seeing the creativity and skill of 10th District students,” McHenry said. “It is an honor to recognize these talented art students, and l am excited to see some terrific entries in the final competition of my tenure.”

The winner of the 10th District’s Congressional Art Competition will have their artwork prominently displayed in the U.S. Capitol beside the winning pieces from each district throughout the country.

All entries will be judged by a panel and one winner will be selected. The deadline to submit the artwork is Friday, May 3, 2024. Artwork must be submitted to one of Rep. McHenry’s district offices before the deadline. The district office locations are listed below:

Hickory District Office
1990 Main Avenue SE,
Hickory, NC 28602
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mooresville District Office
Iredell County Government Center South, 2nd Floor
610 East Center Avenue
Mooresville, NC 28115
Hours: Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Once all of the artwork has been received, submissions will be posted on Rep. McHenry’s Facebook page allowing the public to view the entries and like their favorites.

The Congressional Art Competition is a privately funded competition with support from the Congressional Institute.
