South Iredell High School senior Jacqueline Maglente recently presented a check for $2,404.28 to Linda Morris, executive director of Bridge of Hearts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting homeless and impoverished school children across the greater Lake Norman region and up through northern Iredell County.

Maglente raised the money from a pickleball tournament held September 28 in The Farms neighborhood of Mooresville. Despite being held at the tail end of Hurricane Helene, the tournament was a huge success, Maglente said,
