The Statesville Police Department reported the following felony arrests:

OCTOBER 6
♦ Mary Elizabeth Chambers, 69, of Old Charlotte Road, Statesville, charged with charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

♦ Davonta Everett Rankin, 30, of Starks Drive, Troutman, charged with possession of cocaine.

OCTOBER 8
♦ Carrie Ann Tate, 45, of Phillips Lane, Statesville, charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

♦ Genecis Melendez, 33, of Lindsey Street, Statesville, charged with assault inflicting physical injury by
strangulation.

♦ Victorino Sotelo Gil, 43, of Millersville Road, Taylorsville, felony assault or affray on a firefighter, EMT, medical responder, or hospital personnel/security; assault inflicting physical injury by strangulation;
assault on a law enforcement officer probation officer or parole officer inflicting physical injury.

OCTOBER 9
♦ Tyreke Shyborn Holmes, 25, of Rolling Lane, Statesville, charged with possession of marijuana.

♦ Cortney Sirron Phifer Jr., 22, of Franciscan Terrace, Winston-Salem, charged with larceny.

OCTOBER 12
♦ Romel Barta McDonald, 43, of no fixed address charged with breaking or entering buildings with intent to commit any felony or larceny therein; habitual larceny; habitual breaking or entering; and larceny after breaking or entering.
