A Statesville man faces drug charges following an investigation by the Statesville Police Department.
The SPD announced the arrest of Terry Lee Roseboro, 61, in a news release.
His arrest stems from an investigation that began in response to community complaints regarding drug-related activity in the area near his residence on Alexander Street, police said.
SPD personnel executed a search warrant at 1304 Alexander Street on December 11 after the Narcotics Division initiated surveillance on the residence and observed suspicious activities that raised concerns. As part of the investigation, controlled purchases of narcotics were made from Roseboro at the residence, according to the news release.
During the search on December 11, investigators seized a substantial quantity of crack cocaine, which police said was linked to Mr. Roseboro. Narcotics investigators obtained warrants charging Roseboro with trafficking in cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for the purposes of selling narcotics as a result of the evidence seized, according to the news release.
On December 28, SPD personnel visited 1304 Alexander Street to execute the outstanding warrants.
During Roseboro’s arrest, officers found him to be in possession of additional crack cocaine, police said. In addition to the previous charges, Roseboro also was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling narcotics, and misdemeanor resisting an officer.
Roseboro was taken before a magistrate, who set his bond at $305,000.
In the news release, the SPD encouraged all community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
