Special to IFN
Friday, September 13, turned out to be lucky for the winners of the 5th Annual Kids Biz Expo sponsored by Bobcat.
It was slightly damp, but spirits were high for all the kids who participated this year.
Kids Biz Expo continues to be a huge success for the participants and shoppers alike. The event coincided with the Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Concert featuring Camel City Yacht Club.
This year the program expanded to 23 individual booths and items ranged from cookies and lemonade to handmade jewelry and unique arts.
The Kids Biz Expo is designed for students in kindergarten through high school and offers them the opportunity to set up a booth/table with a product they feel passionate about. A group of talented, dedicated kids created and displayed crafts, jewelry, baked goods, and beverages, or sold other fun and interesting items.
The event is a great opportunity for them to understand the elements of owning a business as they learn real-life business skills.
