Caroline Taylor has been selected to serve as the new Iredell County finance director, effective immediately.

She brings 14 years of progressive service to Iredell County to her new position.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill in Mathematics and received her Local Government Finance Officer’s Certification in 2021. She began her career in the Iredell County Health Department and has most recently served as the Iredell County assistant finance director.

“I’m honored to be selected as the next finance director and am fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the citizens of Iredell County,” Taylor said. “I enjoy working with the dedicated staff across county agencies and am excited to continue the high standards established by the Finance Department.”

County Manager Beth Milton said the county is fortunate to have such a “capable and committed individual” ready to step into this role.

“Mrs. Taylor has proven herself to be a valuable leader in the organization and is well respected in her field. We are proud she is furthering her career in this new capacity,” Milton said.
