Special to IFN
The Rev. Brad Mullis, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Statesville on Monday announced the appointment of Julia Steele as the new director of Trinity Episcopal Preschool.
Steele earned her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design and her MFA in Photography from the University of Georgia. She comes to this position after working in various teaching roles, including serving as an assistant in a Montessori school primary classroom where she worked with children ages 3-6.
“I enjoyed watching them grow from day one,” Steele said. “I loved seeing their interests and friendships blossom and I loved just being with them and listening to their stories, their interests and sometimes their grievances. I am excited to take on the role as preschool director at Trinity Episcopal Church and to expand on the foundational development of the previous director.”
Steele and her family moved to Statesville two years ago. She and her husband Jay have two children, ages 7 and 4.
