The United Way of Iredell County has received a transformative $500,000 life insurance gift to its Endowment for the Future from a generous couple in Mooresville. This remarkable pledge reflects the couple’s commitment to ensuring a brighter future for the community they call home.

The anonymous donors’ generosity will bolster the long-term growth of the Endowment for the Future, which will serve as a cornerstone for sustaining United Way of Iredell County’s vital work for generations to come.

“This remarkable act of kindness exemplifies the spirit of giving that defines our community,” said Erskine Smith, president of United Way of Iredell County. “The impact of this generous gift will be felt across Iredell County for years to come, fueling innovative initiatives and programs that address critical needs and empower individuals and families to get on the cycle of success.”

The Endowment for the Future is designed to ensure stability and sustainability, providing a reliable source of funding to address evolving community challenges. The endowment enables United Way of Iredell County to respond swiftly to emerging needs and implement innovative solutions that create lasting change.

United Way officials hope this significant contribution inspires others in the community to contribute to the Endowment for the Future.

“We invite individuals, businesses, and organizations across Iredell County to join us in building a stronger, more resilient community,” said Rev. Nelson Granade, endowment chair. “By investing in the Endowment for the Future, you are investing in the future of Iredell County, ensuring that our community continues to thrive for generations to come.”
