The Downtown Statesville community will be filled with chocolate lovers on Saturday, February 8, with the highly anticipated return of the 4th Annual Chocolate Stroll.

More than 20 local businesses and retailers will participate in this festive event, offering attendees a sweet way to enjoy chocolate treats while supporting an important cause, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All proceeds from the Chocolate Stroll will benefit Pharos Parenting, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building positive parenting skills through targeted education, in-home coaching, and supportive intervention programs.

The event kicks off at The Gondolier, 212 S. Center Street, where participants can pick up their Chocolate Passport, which includes a map and a list of participating stops. As they stroll through downtown, guests will visit each location, collect specialty chocolate samples, and receive a stamp on their passport.

Upon completing the stroll, attendees will turn in their passports to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $100 in Downtown Dollars, sponsored by The Gondolier.

By participating, attendees will not only satisfy their sweet tooth but also help support local families and children through vital child abuse prevention efforts.

“Pharos Parenting’s mission is to strengthen families and provide support to those in need, and the Chocolate Stroll is a great way for the community to come together and help make a difference,” said Tonya Fowler, executive director of Pharos Parenting. “We are grateful to our passionate volunteer, Suzanne Caldwell for organizing the event and to all of the local businesses that are participating while supporting a very important cause.”
