The City of Statesville will hold its Second Annual Canned Food Drive in February. Building on the success of last year’s campaign, this initiative aims to support local food pantries and help families and individuals in need within the community.

Throughout February, residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable canned food items at convenient drop-off locations across the city. These collection points include:

♦ Statesville City Hall – 227 S. Center Street
♦ Customer Service Office – 301 S. Center Street
♦ Bentley Community Center – 1410 3rd Street
♦ Statesville Civic Center – 300 S. Center Street
♦ Statesville Fitness & Activity Center – 1875 Simonton Road
♦ Statesville Police Department – 330 S. Tradd Street
♦ Statesville Fire Station 1 – 822 Fifth Street
♦ Statesville Fire Station 2 – 110 Security Drive
♦ Statesville Fire Station 3 – 779 Eastside Drive
♦ Statesville Fire Station 4 – 115 Martin Lane

“Last year, our community demonstrated incredible generosity during our first canned food drive,” said Mayor Costi Kutteh. “We hope to build on that momentum this year and continue supporting our local food pantries in their efforts to combat food insecurity.”

All donations will be distributed to local food pantries, ensuring that the collected items directly benefit those most in need within the Statesville community. Every donation, big or small, contributes to making a significant difference.

The City of Statesville is committed to fostering a spirit of compassion and community engagement among its residents. By participating in this initiative, residents have an opportunity to join together in helping to ensure that no one in Statesville goes hungry.
