Personnel from Troutman, Shepherds, Mooresville and Mount Mourne fire departments responded to a structure fire on Meigs Lane about 9:38 p.m. on Sunday.

When crews arrives, they found smoke coming from the single-story home. Firefighters searched for the source of the smoke. A smoldering fire in the attic area was found and extinguished.

The fire was under control at 11:01 p.m.

No injuries were reported, and the Red Cross was called to assist the family of four adults and an infant.
