Employees of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) recently completed Mitchell Community College’s Detention Officer Certification Course.

This intensive 234-hour course, guided by the N.C. Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission, covers 23 crucial topics with state-certified instructors. The trainees aced the state exam and demonstrated their skills to earn their certification as detention officers.
