Special to IFN

The Iredell County Health Department is reassuring residents that the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Clinic remains open and fully operational despite recent concerns or confusion surrounding WIC services.

Eligible families should continue using their benefits, attending appointments, and accessing services as usual. WIC provides essential nutrition assistance, breastfeeding support, and healthcare referrals to families in need, and these services remain available to all who qualify.

What WIC Participants Need to Know

• Benefits are still active – Families can continue purchasing approved WIC foods.
• Appointments are not canceled – If you have a scheduled WIC visit, please attend as planned.
• Services remain unchanged – All WIC resources and support remain available.

The Iredell County Health Department is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as needed. Families with questions about their WIC benefits can contact the Statesville WIC office at 704-878-5319 or the Mooresville WIC office at 704-664-4635.
