Iredell Health System on Monday announced the addition of Nurse Practitioner Megan Lewis to the staff at Family Care Center of Statesville.

Megan Lewis, FNP-C

A board-certified family nurse practitioner, Lewis brings over a decade of experience as a nurse in intensive care and a nurse practitioner in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She earned her undergraduate degree from Winston-Salem State University and her graduate degree from South University. She is a 2018 recipient of the Nursing Excellence Award from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

Lewis’ approach to patient care is holistic.

“I wanted my education to cover both pediatric and adult populations to provide care to patients throughout their lifespan,” said Lewis. “My approach to medical care is patient-centered and holistic. Patients can expect me to sit and listen to them. My goal is to know them better, which will assist in how I care for them as an individual.”

Lewis is heavily involved at her local church as a worship team member, a life group leader, and a nursery worker. She loves spending time at church, working out, being outside, and enjoying time with friends and family. She chose Iredell Health System because of the small-town feel. Lewis believes healthy activities can be enjoyable.

“Make time for yourself as frequently as possible to stay active through exercise and activities you enjoy,” she said.
