Mooresville Arts recently announced the winners of its 21st Annual Youth Art Show.
A total of 147 young artists entered this year’s show, submitting an array of paintings, drawings, pottery, mixed media and more.
About 300 people attended the artists’ receptions on Friday, March 7, to celebrate these talented and budding artists!
Dixon Handshaw, Board Chair of Mooresville Arts, said the annual event “epitomizes our mission to our community” by providing an opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their work.
“Their artwork is something you need to see. Young artists take risks, they see things older artists sometimes don’t see any more,” Handshaw said. “I am always impressed by the authenticity and the creativity of these young artists.
“So stop by when you can to see the world through the eyes of these young people. This is Mooresville Arts doing what it does best.”
The sponsor of this year’s show is Thomas & Webber, Law at the Lake.
Mooresville Arts expressed its appreciation to the panel of artists, teachers and arts professionals who helped judge this show — and all of the students who participated.
The show is on display through March 27. Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m.
Mooresville Arts is located at 103 W Center Avenue in Mooresville. Visit Mooresvillearts.org.
