N.C. State Highway Patrol troopers have obtained arrest warrants for a Mooresville man on charges related to passing a stopped Iredell-Statesville Schools bus.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Martavis Jerbraill Parsons, 32, is asked to contact the NCSHP at 828-466-5500 or the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. 

Troopers began an investigation after a motorcyclist passed a stopped school bus with its warning lights activated and the stop arm activated while students were boarding about 7:33 a.m. on Wednesday on Hoover Road at Marthas Vineyard Drive. 

After the NCSHP released photos taken from cameras mounted on the bus, Parsons was identified as the suspect.

He faces the following charges: passing a stopped school bus, driving while his license was revoked, careless and reckless driving, improper passing, and several other violations.
