Rainy weather didn’t stop participants from competing on day two of the Special Olympics of Iredell County’s Spring Games. Local high school students and adults enjoyed racing, throwing, the long jump, and other activities.

Where were the Iredell Statesville school board members? Where was Dr. James and the others administrators?
We all know they talk a good game about supporting all the students, but talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.
All sporting events require at least 1 admin from their school. If there are multiple sporting events occurring on the same day, the admins may all be booked up. As far as the school board, I have nothing for you on that one. Truth. Board members should attend events, especially as large as this one. There’s plenty of them to go around.
