Statesville Dance and Performing Arts held its third annual Competition Team Showcase on Friday night at Mac Gray Auditorium.

Dancers opened to a montage of Prince’s music which included vibrant purple, gold, and other colorful costumes. Following the opener, other selections from the eighties and nineties were performed.

Dances included solos, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and others.

This specialty shows helps the dancers prepare as well as gives a preview of competition dances to eager families and friends.
