Shepherds Fire-Rescue held its annual awards dinner on January 3 at Station #1 on Charlotte Highway.

All members were thanked for their service to the community, along with their families for supporting them.

Awards

Special awards were presented to a few members for their outstanding service and dedication to the community and the department.

Board Member and Fire fighter Carmen DeAndrea was honored for his service to the Board of Directors.
Full-time Fire fighter Jason Workman was recognized for answering the most alarms in 2024.
Part-time Fire fighter Kaleb Wilson was honored for answering the most alarms as a part time employee (not present). Grayson Alexander picked up the award on his behalf.
Volunteer Fire fighter Brian Carroll for answering most alarms as a volunteer fire fighter.
Fire fighter Trent Cranfill received the 2024 Fire Fighter of the Year Award. He was chosen by his peers.
Assistant Chief Rick Dunn received the 2024 Officer of the Year Award. He was chosen by his peers.
Fire fighter Ralph Forte was honored for undergoing the most training hours in 2024.
