A total of 28 suspects face charges as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced Monday that 20 individuals have been charged with selling drugs directly to an undercover ICSO investigator between October 2024 and February 2025.

Arrest warrants have been issued for eight additional suspects, who are now considered “wanted” individuals, Campbell said.

This investigation targeted career and repeat offenders who are contributing to the drug problem in Iredell County, the sheriff said.

“Drug-related activity frequently leads to other forms of criminal behavior, from theft to violent offenses,” Campbell explained. “By focusing on those who sell drugs, we’re addressing the root cause of many of these issues and making our community a safer place.”
