A suspect in three armed robberies of Dollar General employees in Statesville was apprehended Monday afternoon in Mecklenburg County by the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The Statesville Police Department announced the arrest of 23-year-old Chance Jalieb Jamison in a news release Tuesday.

During an investigation into three robberies that occurred on January 5 and January 12, Jamison was identified as a suspect by the SPD Violent Crimes Unit, police said.

Following his arrest, Jamison was served with outstanding arrest warrants issued by the SPD. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy, second-degree kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a felon.

He was in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest, according to the news release.

Jamison was also served with warrants for similar offenses from agencies in nearby counties, police said. He was transported to the Gaston County Jail, where he was being held without bond on Tuesday..
