A Statesville man faces multiple felony charge in connection with three armed robberies at local Dollar General stores.
The Statesville Police Department has obtained warrants for the arrest of 23-year-old Chance Jalieb Jamison related to robberies on January 5 and January 12.
SPD officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 1500 W. Front Street about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 12. According to employees, two black males entered the store, demanded money, and left shortly after being unable to access the store’s safe.
As officers were investigating that incident, a second call came in at 8:15 p.m. reporting another armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 922 Shelton Avenue, police said. The suspects matched the description from the earlier robbery. In this incident, a small amount of cash and various tobacco products were stolen.
No employees were harmed during either robbery, police said.
Jamison was identified as a suspect in both robberies during an investigation by the SPD Violent Crimes Unit, according to the the news release.
Investigators also connected Jamison to an armed robbery that occurred on January 5 at the Dollar General located at 1703 Wilkesboro Highway, according to the news release.
As a result of these investigations, warrants have been issued for Jamison’s arrest on the following charges: three Counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon; one count of Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon; two counts of Felony Conspiracy; and one count of second-degree kidnapping.
Jamison also has outstanding warrants from neighboring agencies, according to the SPD.
