The Statesville Woman’s Club recently held its February meeting. In preparation for the “Love Your Valentine Bake Sale,” which supports the club’s beloved historic clubhouse, club member Kim Turner demonstrated how to dip chocolate-covered strawberries. She also gave helpful hints on how to prep and prepare the strawberries.
Scholarship Winner

During the meeting, Sallie Southall Cotten Scholarship Co-Chair Stephanie Gill announced this year’s scholarship winner is North Iredell High School Senior Christopher J. Corona-Plancarte.
Kindness Rocks project
The Membership Team is planning a “Kindness Rocks” Painting Party on Thursday, February 27, at the clubhouse from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Two of the club’s Community Service Program Teams are working together to refurbish the Kindness Rock Garden at Pecan Park in Downtown Statesville. The painted rocks will brighten the new space and delight many. All SWC members and women interested in learning about the Statesville Woman’s Club are invited to attend. Light refreshments will also be served.
Next Meeting
The next club meeting will be on Thursday, March 6, at the historic clubhouse located at 515 West End Avenue. There will be a time of Social Fellowship at 5:30 p.m., following by the meeting at 6 p.m. All members, guests and interested women are invited to attend.
