Opening night of the Theatre Statesville production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is scheduled for Friday, May 2.
Evening performances of the upbeat musical comedy are set for 7:30 p.m. on 2, 3, 9, 10, and 15-17 in the Black Box Theater at American Renaissance School in Downtown Statesville. Matinees are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on May 4 and May 11.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” follows the everyday adventures of Charlie Brown and his Peanuts gang. The story explores themes of friendship, happiness, and what it means to be a “good man,” all while navigating the trials and tribulations of childhood.
Noah Rhoney stars in this production as Charlie Brown. Also in the cast of characters are Gianna Tucciarone as Lucy Van Pelt; Corey Smith as Snoopy; Kacie Kehoe as Sally Brown; Jadon Cummings as Schroeder; Corey Johnson as Linus Van Pelt; Mary Skogen as Woodstock; and Kerri Turner and Candi Stokes as Ensemble.
“This is the most talented cast I have ever had the pleasure of working with,” Director Emmett Cleaver said. “They are remarkably talented.”
