Barbara Ann DeCarlo, 91, of Statesville, N.C., passed away, Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Gordon Hospice House. Born March 28, 1928, in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kewer and Margaret Lynch.

She was a high school graduate and was married to the late Frank Paul DeCarlo Sr., who died April 13, 2015. For many years, she worked for the Grapevine Liquor Sales in Boston. She and her husband owned race horses. She was a big NASCAR fan and especially liked Jeff Gordon.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters; one brother; a son-in-law, Donald Brunelle; and two grandchildren, Joey Santamaria and Jessica Piccorilli.

She is survived by her son, Frank Paul DeCarlo Jr. and wife Billie of Statesville, and a daughter, Barbara Ann D. Brunelle of Palm Coast, Fla.. Four grandchildren, two adopted grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one step-granddaughter also survive.

No formal services are planned and memorials may be made to Suicide Prevention Crisis or to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
