Lillian “Billie” Bruce Smith Daniels, 100, of Harmony, N.C., and formally of Statesville, N.C., died on December 26, 2019, at Rosewood Assisted Living of Harmony.

Billie was born on May 17, 1919, the youngest daughter of the late Emma Pearl Reavis and Jesse Frank Owen of Iredell County. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Daniels. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Eugene Smith of Statesville; a step-daughter, Shirley Smith Webster; and three sisters and a brother.

To her friends and family, Billie had a wonderful sense of humor, and a spirit filled with love and laughter, and a commitment to her church. In years past she was affiliated with Stimpson Hosiery Mill and Belk Department store in Statesville.

Mrs. Daniels is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a step-grandson, John Bell of Surfside Beach, S.C.

Visitation will be held at Harmony United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 1 p.m. Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday December 31, 2019, at Harmony United Methodist Church. Burial will follow with graveside services at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville.
