Nolan Taylon Jones, the son of Carrington Jamal Jones and Jasmine Nichole King, was born in Iredell County on July 11, 2019. He passed away at the age of four months on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at CMC’s Levines Children’s Hospital following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Maurice Jones and John King.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three siblings, Destiny Sharpe, Logan King and Kayson Jones; paternal grandmother, Tracy King Clark; maternal grandmother, Patricia King and Jeffery King; paternal great-grandmother, Lou King Murray and Doris Jones and Larry King; his maternal great-grandmother, Bernetta Cayeniuett, Sadie King, Hilda Brown and Quilla Cain; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Dr. Cuthrell will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Members of the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of a grandmother, Sadie King, 243 McAllister Road, Statesville, NC 28625, at other times.
