Zella Seeley Howard, 86, of Stony Point, N.C., and formally of Erin, N.Y., joined her husband in Heaven on Friday, December 20, 2019, at her residence. She was born on Saturday, May 13, 1933, to the late Irvin William Seeley Sr. and Anna Bell Peterson Seeley in Steuben County, N.Y.

She was known for her unconditional ability to love and unbreakable spirit.

In addition to her parents, Zella was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Howard; and one brother, Irvin William Seeley Jr.

Zella is survived by her daughter, Carol Lackey and husband Charles of Statesville; her two sons, Robert James Howard of the home and William Howard of Stony Point; two brothers, Rodrick Seeley of West Virginia and Ronald Seeley and wife Marjorie of Florida; three sisters, Marion Rice of Florida, Ellen Laughlin of New York, and Juanita Kelley and husband Douglas of Florida; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

The Memorial Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Living Water Community Church. Pastor Brent Harrington will officiate. Burial will follow in the Stony Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church and at other times at their respective homes.
