Alison Jane Oakes Allen, 56, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Alison was born on May 15, 1964, in Manchester, England, to the late Nigel and Lois Oakes.

Alison was married to David Allen on May 14, 1987. They were married for 33 years. Together they have two children, Scott Barry Allen and Jaimie Nicole Allen Cooper.

Alison is survived by her spouse, David; her children, Scott and Jaimie; her brother, John; and her grandchildren, Ashlee, Colten, Hunter, Ryan, and Elliott.

Alison was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent much of her life working in animal rescue. Her passion for family and animals was felt by all who met her.

Alison lost a long battle with cancer. She fought for many years through tough treatments, surgeries, and procedures. Through it all, she kept a smile on her face. She was a very tough woman with a heart of gold.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Lake Norman Humane.
