Donald Fisk Matthews, 91, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on December 23, 2020. He was born on March 16, 1929, in Fitchburg, Mass., to the late William and Marie Deroach Matthews.

In 1953, he married the love of his life, Lounette “Corky” Luckadoo Matthews and they enjoyed 67 years together. Mr. Matthews was a hardworking man, owning and operating several businesses, including Pier Landing on Lake Norman and Lakeside Auto Sales. He also worked for Home Beneficial Life Insurance for 16 years. He enjoyed watching golf in his free time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Kevin Matthews; and sisters, Jane Matthews and Ann Marie Van Reddy

He is survived by his wife, Lounette “Corky” Matthews; son, Donald Kevin Matthews; granddaughter, Kayla Moore; and great-granddaughters, Isabella and Lillian.
