Elisha Stinson, 83, of Statesville, N.C., was called home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2020. Born August 7, 1937, in Avondale, W.Va., he was a son of the late Charles and Annie Mullins Stinson.
Mr. Stinson was a retired coal miner. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Kennedy and Nina Kennedy, and a brother, Ray Stinson.
Mr. Stinson is survived by his wife, Ruth Stinson, of Statesville, N.C.; sons, Charles Stinson (Sandra) of Statesville, N.C., and Gary Stinson (Chrissy), of Mocksville, N.C.; daughter, Marsha Addair (Scott), of Hillsville, Va.; brothers, Lige Kennedy Sr. (Debbie), of Avondale, W.Va., and Elmer “Buddy” Hale of Princeton, W.Va.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Margaret Baker.
There will be a private graveside service at a later time with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluefield, W.Va.
