Ezekiel “Zeke” Janicello, 88, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was born February 23, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Joseph and Jennie Janicello.
Zeke moved to Mooresville in 2006. He loved his family, friends and the Lord. He was dedicated to his church, Lake City Church of Mooresville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Janicello, and son, Charles Sardelli.
He is survived by his wife Renee Janicello, his brother David Janicello (Rose), sister Rose Pucci, his daughter Aida D’Antona, and sons Joseph Janicello (Patty) and Louis Sardelli (Bertha). Also surviving are his nine grandchildren, Charles Sardelli, Cathryn Sardelli, Amanda D’Antona, John D’Antona, Elizabeth D’Antona, Krystina Sardelli, Alyssa Sardelli, Darlene Iovino (Andrew) and Jessica Janicello, as well as his two great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, December 17, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rob Spradley officiating. Burial will follow at the service at 2 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery. Family and friends welcome.
