Fred Robert Erwin, 76, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

He was born on January 14, 1944, in Mooresville, N.C., to the late James and Jessie Abernathy Erwin. Mr. Erwin was retired from CKS Packaging and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Davidson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Alley Erwin; and his brother, Kent H. Erwin.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela E. Yates and husband Thomas; “adopted” son by choice, Stacey Howe; and sisters, Sandra Webster and husband James, Barbara Nance and husband Leonard, and Teresa Erwin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Stacey Howe and Rev. Jim Bailey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
