Harold Dean Pendergrass, 80, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born Wednesday, June 26, 1940, in Wilkes County, N.C., to the late Spencer Pendergrass and Victoria Shew Pendergrass.

He worked for Southern Screw as a machine operator for a number of years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Statesville.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and Overdean Pendergrass; one sister, Helen Siceloff; and one daughter, Melissa Kaye Pendergrass.

Harold is survived by two sons, Michael Pendergrass and wife Sherry of Lenoir, and Nelson Pendergrass and wife Barbara of Union Grove; one sister, Sarah P. Key of Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Nicholas Pendergrass and girlfriend Dianna and Ashlynne Moore; and one great grandchild, Olivia Grace Pendergrass.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Rev. Randy Mitchell will officiate. There will be no formal viewing or visitation.
