James Ronald Harrison, 81, of Granite Falls, N.C., formerly of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on March 12, 1939, in Porterdale, Ga., to the late James Henry Harrison and Carol Aaron Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a U.S. Army veteran. He served two tours in Vietnam, one with Special Forces and one with the 1st St. Battalion, 14th Infantry, 4th Infantry Division.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Travis Harrison; sons, Robert Harrison (Michaela Kissinger), Ryan Harrison (Tammy), and Cory Harrison (Corie); and grandchildren, Taylor, Pia Sophie, Kailey, and Coen.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to noon with a memorial service following at noon at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service with full military honors will be following at 2 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery.
