Mrs. Linda Carol Brewer Barker, 70, of Union Grove, N.C., passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Linda was born December 2, 1949, in Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Ulysses and Lessie Church Brewer. She was a graduate of South Iredell High School, Class of 1969, and was married to Hasel Grey Barker for 42 years. She previously worked for Firefly Balloons and later received her CNA degree and worked on the 4th Floor North at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by two children, Teresa Holbrook (Jack) of Statesville and Robbie Barker (Tracy) of Union Grove; six grandchildren, Holly and Grace Holbrook, and Colt, Taylor, Cody and Caleb Barker; and two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Taylor Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Philip Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service.
