Paul Charles Stanley, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on December 12, 2020, after suffering a subdural hematoma from a fall. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Harvey Chester Stanley and Clara Evelyn Stanley. Paul worked for the Federal government for most of his career, and retired from the Department of Justice after 24 years of service.
Paul loved the Lord, was an avid camper, a lover of Bluegrass, a Sudoku nut, Redskins fan and a man who wouldn’t let a bent 10-penny nail go to waste.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Lynn Stanley; his daughter, Kim Stanley Sands (Steve); his son, David Brian Stanley; and his sister, Carol Stanley Mayer (George).
A graveside service will be scheduled in the springtime for family and friends in Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org/ or to Paul’s home church, Peninsula Baptist Church, 847 Brawley School Road, Mooresville, NC 28117.
Calvin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is assisting the family. Condolences may be expressed online at www.cavin-cook.com.
