Rebecca Marie Howard, 59, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020. She was born on February 22, 1961, in Lancaster, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Webster; first husband, Virgil Alden Howard Sr.; and a son, Brandon Michael Howard.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Penland; sons Virgil Alden Howard Jr. and his fiancé Amanda Jackson and Jordan Penland; daughter, Ivory McRae and her husband Yazid Kawash; sister, Shirley McBride; brother, Thomas Christian; seven grandchildren; and her favorite dog, Taco.
