Taska “Tassie” Honeycutt Moose, 67, of Huntersville, N.C., passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center. She was born on April 10, 1953 in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Rufus and Eva Barlow Honeycutt.

Mrs. Moose was a Special Education teacher with Surry County Schools and finished her teaching career with Sherrills Ford Elementary after 14 years. She was a lifelong member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church in Terrell, where she taught Sunday School. In her early years, she loved water sports on Lake Norman, especially tubing and riding a Waverunner. She also enjoyed cross stitching.

She is survived by her husband, Randy H. Moose; son, Brandon Moose and wife Christina; grandsons, Gavin and Jackson Moose; and brother, Rufus Honeycutt Jr. and wife Shelia.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Rich officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rehobeth United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 356, Terrell, NC 28682.
