Valerie Hope Chamberlain, 60, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020.
She was born October 24,1959, in Boynton Beach, Fla., to Marilyn Rousseau and the late Val Jean Haley. Valerie proudly served her community of Mooresville as the executive director of the Mooresville Christian Mission from 2005. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force from 1979-1983.
Valerie is survived by her loving husband, Craig Chamberlain; children, Matthew (Marie) Fairhurst of Conover, N.C., Rachelle (Matthew) Frechette of Mooresville, Katherine Fairhurst (Sam Stahl) of Mooresville, Amy Goodson of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Craig (Kara) Chamberlain Jr. of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and Scott Chamberlain of Mt. Kisco, N.Y.; sisters, Brenda Arnold of Tequesta, Fla., and Kim Haley of Atlanta, Ga.; nieces, Lauren Arnold of Tequesta, Fla., and Helene Chamberlain of Stomville, N.Y.; nephew, Taylor Arnold of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a longtime family friend, Clare Poulson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jan Brittian officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Mooresville Christian Mission, 266 N. Broad Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
